Our name, "Hidamari Nook," reflects our deep wish:
"To help you live comfortably, authentically, and joyfully
—no matter where you are or how times change."
In English, a "nook" is a cozy, special corner of a room.
Like sitting in a warm,
sunlit spot (hidamari) that brings a natural smile to your face,
we aim to provide a gentle space where you can gather these
peaceful moments day by day.
Restoring balance without force,
we create a peaceful space where both your mind and body can truly unwind.
In Australia, Remedial Care (Remedial Massage) is a natural part of a routine body maintenance habit. Performed by government-qualified therapists and covered by private health insurance, it offers professional clinical care that sets itself apart from standard relaxation. Positioned between clinical medicine and pure relaxation, it helps your body progressively transform over time.

After graduating from university, I spent many years balancing a full-time corporate career with raising my children. Amidst the relentless rush of daily life, I found myself pouring all my energy into simply getting through each day.
However, a major head injury—one that could have easily been fatal had things gone slightly differently—forced me to pause and re-examine my entire way of living. Recognizing what truly mattered to me marked a profound turning point in my life.
Following this experience, an opportunity led me to start a new chapter in Australia. There, I discovered a culture that deeply values being true to oneself—a stark contrast to my previous lifestyle. I encountered many inspiring individuals who were aging gracefully and authentically.
One person who left an unforgettable impression on me was a 96-year-old British woman I met at an aged care facility.
Unfazed by her mobility challenges, she took daily delight in her makeup and outfits, carefully choosing her accessories based on her mood that day. Always bright and elegant, she would radiate warmth and consideration to those around her as she pushed her walker forward.
Her room was adorned with photographs capturing moments from her lifetime, alongside cherished furniture and small keepsakes used over many years. In every single item, I could feel the gentle, distinct passage of time she had uniquely crafted. Seeing her, I thought to myself, “This must be what it truly means to be a charming person”;
Naturally, I found myself wishing to age in that exact same, authentic way.
Upon returning to Japan, I felt a deep desire to support those who wish to cherish their daily lives, helping them find a space where they can simply be themselves without strain.
Like a warm patch of sunlight (Hidamari), I would be honored to help your mind and body gently unwind, bringing a natural smile to your face.

Yes, absolutely. We will carefully listen to your body’s condition and any symptoms you are experiencing, and tailor the treatment to suit your individual needs. Because heavy pressure or sharp pain can actually cause your muscles to tense up, we focus on a comfortable, moderate pressure. The treatment mainly centers on gentle myofascial release using aroma oils or massage creams.
When using aroma oils or massage creams, applying them directly to the skin allows you to feel the full benefits of the treatment. For this reason, we generally perform the treatment while keeping your body covered with clean towels over your underwear. However, fully clothed treatment is also completely fine. If you feel more comfortable remaining dressed, please do not hesitate to let us know. If you prefer to stay clothed, we highly recommend wearing stretchy, form-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement.
Is there an age limit? Can seniors receive treatment?
Yes, of course. Seniors can receive our care with absolute peace of mind. In fact, we highly recommend it as a routine way to manage the discomforts that often come with aging. From targeted care for specific areas (like feet, arms, shoulders, or lower back) to full-body treatments, we adapt everything to your current physical condition.
If we visit by car and need to use a parking lot, we kindly ask you to cover the actual cost of parking. Additionally, if your location takes more than one hour via public transport starting from Hankyu Nishinomiya-kitaguchi Station (Nishinomiya City, Hyogo), we kindly request to discuss separate travel arrangements with you in advance.
